Finding toads and frogs in north Florida!
Thank you for watching! I wanted to make a quick video to share some of the frogs and toads I found while walking around a lake at night. This video isn’t like most the videos I make, but I thought maybe it could be nice to post something a little different. I’m in Michigan right now with family, and I will have many more videos to upload including some from my time here!

Cool video!! Wish we had more people like you. i remember this one video when you save a cicada. Very brave, healthy parent, keep it up
You're telling me there's a possibility for flour beetles in packaged Quaker Oats!? 👀😂😬
🐰🐰🐰🐰🐰🐰🐰😂😂😂😂😂😂
Did you have a problem housing them together? I mean if they’re the same size
1:16 This guy is kicking off a beat!
Megatibicen resonans or Megatibicen figuratus
I'm surprised to learn that the "lagarto ocelado" that lives around me can be a pet. They are surprisingly not shy in the wild. You can be 1m away from them and sonetimes they hide slowly without running.
It isn’t the wings that make the noise male have muscles under their abdomen that vibrate and make noise
whenever you pick up a cicada and they stand there, they dont know your a human and they think your a tree they spend most of their time under the ground benefiting from the trees sap.
Seen some red and black ones today while mowing. Pretty neat creatures.
Mate… I encountered one of these stopping me from entering my laundry room, and had to run back to get a spray bottle. You just poked and prodded at it to showcase all of its defences. You are built different 🫡. Mad respect
You are also a perfect example for them because they want pets. Being responsible and caring for them properly is super important to me. I’m glad I can show them these videos.
I just started showing my kids your channel and they love it! They also love animals.
You’re correct they eat sap and bark
I LIKE THAT GREEN POTATO
That is an older one. It will not live much longer and less than that if the cardinal i heard finds it! Cardinals eat them!
Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee😂
THANK YOU! I can't hardly find any videos that give information on the Lubber type grasshoopers!
Why didn’t you just leave it alone?
Beautiful video, very useful for those who love lizards. unfortunately in my country this wonderful species is protected and cannot be kept... 😔🦎🐢🐍
I’m 50. I’m not the least bit afraid of picking up cicadas! Frankly, I’m more afraid of people! Cicadas won’t hurt anyone. People are more unpredictable!
this girl is so me
They eat sap
🥹
“This place could be beautiful, right? You could make this place beautiful.”
This is such an underrated informative video!
MMURRR HIGURASHI
IS there a clean up crew?
This is such a great video - so positive and educational! I especially liked how you highlighted respect for their autonomy! The more intelligent the reptile, the more important it is to do things on their terms. My emerald tree skink is my smartest and most interactive pet, and all handling is on his terms. He sees it as a treat to get out of his enclosure, and that makes me so much happier than if I just grabbed him.
Big fat fly
the wings don't make the noise ...males have an organ called a "tymbal". Look it up
The ghost crab is so cute☆♡! Btw what happened to your finger?😓
These comments make me cringe so much. Cicadas are HARMLESS, theyre cute and they are chubby.
You are awesome . Very helpful
Just noticed it’s been a while since we’ve had an upload! I wanted to come by and say I hope you and your family are doing well 🎉
We miss your videos and hope that you are okay! 🙏
Aww
boy: wow did you hear that? :U *my ass who jumped at it because it scared the shit outta me* 😂😂
It's a Ninjask
It's nice to see you still post your Love of animals. I remember your Vlogs from when you were a little kid.
It sound like a boy and i hate cicada
Shut up 😡
I have a girl one but she hisses and runs away when i approach, any tips??
In that situation I’d spend time nearby the enclosure, just to get her used to my presence. Then if I noticed after some days she seemed more comfortable with me around, I’d try getting closer. Hopefully after trying that I could get close enough to try tweezer feeding her some insects. Unfortunately it can take a lot of time and patience, but it can pay off! Hopefully what I said is useful to you, good luck! Also, moving slowly is always helpful. Sometimes with my more skittish animals I have to move so incredibly slow to prevent them from running/jumping away. You may already be aware of that but I wanted to say it just in case
@@KkCreatures thanks for the fast reply and the information 🙃 I will take some time to gain her trust. Right now when i go to her she hisses and runs in her home. Do they bite hard? I really want to handle her, thanks in advance ✌
@@rogueplanet13 no problem! It really depends on the lizards but the females’ bite is definitely less bad than the males’. My female lacerta has never drawn blood when she’s accidentally nipped me during feeding, but if she bit me intentionally I’m sure she could draw blood
@@KkCreatures ok thanks 😊, she's called Sassy btw lol
@@rogueplanet13 aww lol a fitting name! 🤣
Awesome
I hate cicada went I see them and run far away
I love how unafraid and competent she is, I want to see a nature series by her
Cicada says "REEEEeEeeeeEeeeeeeeEEEEeeeeee"
The skin of toads is much less sensitive than frogs and slimier amphibians because they live on land, this makes them much better for handling than actual frogs but you still may want to have your hands clean
What do you feed them? And when they become frogs they move to trees so Do you have a way for them To climb out of the water? Have a bunch of tadpoles in a bucket outside my house that filled with rainwater and I’m not bringing them in but just curious about them so I decided to try to find some info. I know outside they will eat bugs etc (the tadpoles)….but just wondering what they eat in captivity! I commend you for saving them
